Hundreds of thousands of Israelis took to the streets in the summer of 2011 to demand social justice. The protests gained momentum through social networks and evolved into the formation of tent cities, mass demonstrations, and other acts of protest rallying against the high cost of living, housing, education, child-rearing and more. Is the Israeli protest unique or is it part of a global trend? What are the roots of this phenomenon? Was the government's reaction to the protestor's demands adequate or will the protesters return to the streets? And to what degree will the protests influence the shaping of the Israeli tomorrow?
